So Long, Stranger
“There is another world, and I have seen parts of that world on most days of my life. But the parts of that world are drifting past and cannot be lived in. For as long as I used to see drifting past me those parts of the other world, I used to wonder about the place where all the drifting parts drifted together.”
-Gerald Murnane, Inland
So Long, Stranger is a show of new work by Noah Greene. The exhibition presents objects and
paintings composed of found and manipulated materials, some produced through extended
exposure to the elements, others made directly in the studio. This ambiguity of means seems to
matter in relating to the work, the way the works relate to each other, and to the room they
occupy.
