Charlie Salas-Humara is a Portland based visual artist who uses layers of paint with found textiles and paper creating dense ba relief sculptures on canvas that seem both muted and unquiet. He has exhibited in group shows in New York, Los Angeles as well as solo shows at Nationale in Portland Or. Salas-Humara grew up in Illinois and toured playing experimental music for 15 years till finding painting and sculpture.
