Doran Walot (b. 1988, Orange County, CA) is an artist, educator, and writer whose practice reimagines vernacular image-objects as memorials for quotidian queer experiences. He received a B.A. from Hampshire College, which he hopes still exists by the time you read this, where he was the recipient of a Stephen Blos Photography Award. From 2013-2017, he was Community Programs Faculty at the International Center of Photography (ICP) and coordinated ICP’s Teen Academy program, which serves over 750 high school students a year. His work has been featured by Capricious and Excerpt Magazines, as well as in self-published titles featured at LA and Brooklyn Zine Fests and held in the ICP Library collection. He is currently an MFA candidate and Graduate Teaching Fellow at the University of Oregon and a member of Ditch Projects.
